Theme: Run to celebrate a hero’s legacy, run to educate a leader of tomorrow..

With a target number of 5,000 runners, through Kabalega Independence Run, the organisers seek to raise a platform for mobilization of resources towards Kabalega Education Fund. For the inaugural, the proceeds will be directed to donation of school books to traditional community schools in greater Bunyoro Region. In the long run, the fund aims to also support bright but economically disadvantaged students across the country with school fees, and scholastic materials, and also to empower youth through life skills development support. Kabalega Independence Run will subsequently be held as an Annual event towards different causes aimed towards similar social economic transformation initiatives.
